Liposuction is the surgical removal of fat from the body, and it doesn’t work. Why? Because of the fat set point (is the point at which you tend to stabilize in bodyweight)
Now, one might think. ” I’ll do a liposuction and then control my diet. Sounds logical but the statistics are against you. “A study at the University of Colorado found that after one year, liposuction patients’ body fat was no different from the control group”
What suprises me is that liposuction still remains popular. “After breast augmentation, liposuction was the 2nd most popular cosmetic surgery procedure in the United States in 2016”
Health & Fitness influencers that surgically enhance their appearance for vane purposes should never be taken seriously. Specially, when they say “i’m doing this for me” Il discuss that in another post.
Thinking about this with the experience i have working with people, i can understand why this surgical procedure remains popular. The majority of you will do anything but put in the effort required to create a lasting change and this weakness in you is what is pulling you towards shortcuts like liposuction, steroids and fat burners.
What bothers me is that men and women will spend hundreds and thousands of rupees on shortcuts that don’t work but are very reluctant to invest 1/10th of that money in getting actual help from a coach.
